EMDR is a well-researched therapy that allows the brain to utilize its innate readiness for healing. In a way that is thought to simulate REM (dream) sleep, EMDR helps the brain connect stuck traumatic memories with newer and non-traumatic experiences, allowing for the trauma to get processed and properly filed with other memories.
